Haley Schapka

Haley Schapka is a canine training professional specializing in puppy development, on and off-leash obedience training, and behavior modification/rehabilitation. Haley was born with a natural connection to dogs. Since she was a child, Haley could always be found beside a dog, whether it be her own or a stray that followed her home. This love only grew deeper throughout her life and led her to seek out ways to help dogs in her community. Haley’s natural talent led her to be recruited for a local shelter’s mentorship program where she spent 18-months volunteering to train special needs dogs that needed extra help to become adoptable. During this time, she began a 5-year long career working as an in-home dogsitter for those that needed special care. She went on to partner with a Labrador breeder, helping to deliver and raise their puppies. She received her personal dog, Charlee, as a gift out of the first litter she delivered. Raising Charlee and overcoming behavior struggles was one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. Learning to effectively communicate, establish a healthy relationship, and overcome challenges together solidified that dog training was the only thing she ever wanted to do!

Haley has received a well-rounded education studying a variety of training specialties such as dog sports, pet obedience, and behavior modification. She is an AKC approved Evaluator for Canine Good Citizen and trick dog titles. After her time of volunteer service and breeder assistance, she completed a one-year internship with a dog sport specialist, a three-month immersive trainer’s course, shadow programs, seminars, plus independent study. Observing a variety of philosophies and techniques has allowed Haley to create a comprehensive training curriculum to best serve her community. Haley’s passion and enthusiasm for training is contagious. It is her mission to advocate for dogs, educate owners, and provide the encouragement and tools needed for teams to be successful!

TRAINER

Kenzie Lindsey

Hello! My name is Kenzie & I am thrilled to have joined CCT as a full time trainer!

My husband and I call north Edmond home where we share our five acres with our two dogs, Kaiser and Charlie, and two cats, Shrek and Tony.

A love for animals is in my blood! My great grandpa, T.A. Prier, was a famous English Setter breeder and trainer in his home state of Missouri during the 1940s— he even sold one of his hunting dogs to the western movie star, Robert Taylor!

I graduated from CCT’S 4-month Trainer’s Course in 2022 as a Canine Training Specialist focusing on puppy development, intermediate obedience, and off leash obedience. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2021. I have worked in pet retail and nutrition since 2017; I’m excited to share my knowledge of quality pet products with my students! I have had a passion for animals since I was a kid and I’m so grateful to be able to make dog training my career!
